Beatrice Bryant
Beatrice Bryant is a proud Jamaica, Queens native. She attended Jamaica, H.S and received her New York State Regents diploma with honors. Upon completion she then entered LaGuardia College and concentrated in Computer Science and Business.
This major catapulted Beatrice to work in retail management with many leading names in the industry; Gymboree, WalMart, Motherhood Maternity, PeainPod, Duane Reade, Walgreens, to name a few. In this body of work she trained and develop associates, maintained budgets to make the store profitable and liaised between vendors and merchants.
Beatrice's love for teaching was fostered during her tenure of working with the Sunday School Ministry at First Calvary Baptist Church. Not only did she work with the youth she also assists with the new member classes with mixed age groups.
During an annual retreat to a Ladies Empowerment Seminar, a seed was planted for Beatrice in the area social entrepreneurship and from this seed Bea’s Bright Beginnings was born, a child care center for children birth to school aged. The dream of having her own business came to fruition in the spring of 2015 a little under a year of Bea’s attendance at the seminar, the years of babysitting and working with youth ministry came together seamlessly in this venture.
Beatrice continued her studies during the process of opening Bea’s Bright Beginnings, taking a course at the Brooklyn Business Outreach Center in Child Care Business development. She acquired 9 credit hours in early childhood and 30 credit hours in child care. Beatrice has her Health and Safety certificate, she is certified in infant/toddler/adult CPR and first Aide. Lastly she has attended several sessions on childhood nutrition.
Bea’s Bright Beginings curriculum draws inspiration from creative curriculum and other holistic educational philosophies.
